SOS Prayerline

On 13th May 2002 the SOS Prayerline started at St Patrick’s. The SOS Prayerline is a service where volunteers pray before the Blessed Sacrament and answer telephone requests for all kinds of prayer and petition from callers.  It runs from 7 – 11 pm every evening, 365 days a year and there is an answer machine where callers can leave messages outside of these times. To date there have been over 63,000 calls; which is a grace and a blessing but also a witness to the beauty that is Eucharistic Adoration.  Poverty comes in many guises but at its heart is the desire to be known and loved by God. That poverty can be most beautifully healed by the power of prayer.
